Baby Brother

I have heard of other kids asking this question but I never thought Noah would. This Morning I got Noah up and was getting him ready for church. He said "Mommy goin to go back to hospital and doctor put baby brother back in Mommys belly?" I said "no, baby brother can never go back in Mommys belly he is going to have to live with us now." he just said "oh." and then walked away.

Stone Jacob

Its been a week! We finally decided on the name Stone Jacob Hunsaker at the very last minute. Thing are going great! It is so much fun having the little guy at our house even though we are still working on getting a little sleep. I feel good, about 100x better than I did after having Noah. And I am SO happy not to be pregnant any more!Noah is having a little bit of a hard time having a baby in the house but all in all not as bad as I thought. He always wants to hold "baby brother" and sometimes he try's to help out. Everyone has been so great! Jake has been a big help. (when he can) Our families have been such a help, especially my mom she has been a life saver coming over to clean my house and taking Noah. Friends and Neighbors have brought us so many meals and have also taken Noah. We feel so blessed to have a new healthy son and so many great people in our lives.

HE IS HERE

Sunday night at 7:42 we welcomed our second son to our family he was 20 inches long and 8 lbs. Sara and I are still working on giving the little guy a name it is going to be either Stone Jacob or Luke. So stay tuned and we will let you know. As many of you might of known we had a planned C-section for 9/9/09 which would have been this Wednesday, but you all know how plans never seem to work out when dealing with these little ones. On Saturday night Sara got some food poisoning, we think and that put her over the top and into labor. She started having contractions around 3:00 am and when she could not put up with then any longer we came to the hospital around 5:00 pm on Sunday and two hours later she was under way with her C-section. Sara was calm and did so much better than I thought she would. Right from the moment they took him he was screaming like a champ. As proud father I am I have to brag that he scored 8 and 9 on his apgar tests, ata boy! It was great the nurses station where they worked on the little guy after they took him was right where Sara could see him. They got him all cleaned up and then I got to sit by Sara with him while they finished with Sara's C-section. It was a great experience for our family. I love Sara so much and I am so proud of her courage, faith and strength, it would not be easy being awake during an operation. She did very well! It was cool the nurses in the nursery let me do a lot of the work in getting him ready to see his mommy, I got to give him is first bath which I though was neat. After we got him all cleaned and bathed me and the little guy were off to see Sara. It was such a good night. Today Sara is doing so great, She has been up and walking around several times and has been pretty much pain free. I want to say thanks to our family and friends who have helped us out so much during Sara's pregnancy and labor we fell so blessed to have you all in our lives.

Little boys can't wear all the bows and frilly little things. And selections of cute clothing can be limited. But there is one accessory that they can wear SHOES!

Feeling crafty?

Still no baby, which at this point is a good thing. He is already coming a few weeks early. These last few weeks I guess I started my nesting period, besides feeling the need cleaning and organization this time I felt particularly crafty. These are a few projects I have finished for the little one. some burp cloths, a carseat tent and a hooter hider. I made a quilt but it is at the quilters, so no picture sorry.
